The National Universities Commission, NUC has approved the establishment of Cross River State University of Education and Entrepreneurship.
Presenting the letter of recognition to the Governor, Prince Bassey Otu, in Abuja, the Executive Secretary of NUC, Professor Abdullahi Ribadu explained that the University would provide quality education with a strong focus on entrepreneurship, equipping students with the necessary skills to thrive in the modern economy.
He promised that the Commission would support the university to attain its full potential.
Professor Ribadu appreciated the Cross River State Government for its commitment to the growth of the education sector and urged the university to adhere strictly to the guidelines of the overall management of academic programmes.
The Cross River State Governor, Prince Bassey Otu represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Owan Enoh stated that the University was established to equip students with life long skills for self reliance to effectively address challenges of unemployment.
