The two rescued victims of last Saturday’s fatal road crash on Ore-Lagos road in Ondo State are responding to medical treatment at Olaoluwa Medical Clinic, Onipetesi.
The FRSC Sector Commander in Ondo State, Dr. Samuel Ibitoye made this known while with newsmen on the incident.
Dr. Ibitoye stated that preliminary Investigation reveals that the two buses involved in the crash, the GUO transport company bus and the Flight Transport Company bus were both speeding against the dictates of road traffic rules and regulations.
He however blamed the GUO Transport Company bus coming from Lagos which drove against the traffic causing the terrible crash colliding with the Flight Transport Company bus coming from Gboko, Benue State on its way to Lagos.
The buses head-on collision resulted into inferno leaving 28 people burnt beyond recognition while two out of the four rescued victims died on the way to the hospital, making a total of thirty deaths recorded.
Dr. Ibitoye advised motorists to be patient while passengers should speak up against dangerous driving by drivers.
