Ahead of the forthcoming councils election in Ondo State scheduled for Saturday, 18th of January, 2025, the Ondo State Police command has announced restriction of Vehicular and Motorcycle movements.
This covers the period of 6am to 4pm on the said date for security reasons.
The state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Wilfred Afolabi asked Commuters who may have a reason to use the State as a passage to adjust their plans ahead of the day.
Security Personnel, Medics, Health workers, firefighters and other Essential Service Providers would however be allowed free movements including Cases of Emergency .
The command also urged all eligible voters to abide by the rules guiding the electoral process while carrying out their Civic duty.
It warned intending miscreants to steer clear as adequate measures had been put in place to ensure smooth election exercise.
