Coalition of Opposition lawmakers has raised an alarm over alleged fresh plot to stop People’s Democratic Party PDP from holding its National Convention this year.
The Coalition has also alleged that there is delibrate plan to ensure that the PDP did not Present Presidential candidate for the 2027 elections
The Spokesperson of the Coalition of Oppression lawmakers, Mr. Ikenga Ugochinyere, while briefing journalists at the National Assembly Complex Abuja, explained that the attack by some thugs at the National Party Secretariate during National Working Committee’s meeting was part of the plans.
Mr Ugochinyere, pointed out that the thugs were paid by those who are bent in destabilizing PDP as the nation’s major opposition party.
On the Rivers State Political crises, the group commended Governor Siminalayi Fubara for being peaceful and law abiding to Supreme Court Judgment despite political provocations.
The Coalition of Opposition lawmakers while encouraging the people of Rivers State to rise and defend democracy in the State, noted that for the State to witness good governance, the people must resist all attempts to hijacked a democratically elected government in the State.
