Over hundred youth from Edu, Moro and Pategi local government area of Kwara state have been trained on ICT and empowerment with laptops to make them self reliant.
Speaking during the training and distribution of laptops, organised by the National Board for Technology Incubation in partnership with Creed Tech Engineering Limited, facilitated by members representing, Edu /Moro and Pategi Federal constituency of Kwara state, Ahmed Saba said the beneficiaries will receive start up capital to open a business.
Represented by his personal Assistant, Mallam Mohammed Salihu, Saba said the items were given to members of the constituency irrespective of their political or ethnic background.
He said the idea behind the second phase of the training was to ensure more people benefit from the gesture and reduce poverty in the land.

In his lecture, the coordinator of the programme, Mr Ugochukwu Ogbonna said the training, laptops and cash grant given to the youth is part of the dividends of democracy they are yearning for.
He urged them to avail themselves the opportunity to upgrade and be ICT compliance.
In his remarks on behalf of the Elders of Edu/Moro and Pategi local government areas of Kwara state, former Commissioner for Commerce and business Innovations, Mohammed Maji Rifun, urged the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the items given to them.
