The Former Zonal Youth Leader APC Youth Stakeholders, South South, Paul Oyiborume has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his laudable youth development reforms
Oyiborume gave the commendation during a courtesy visit to the Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande in Abuja.
Oyiborume who emphasized that youth empowerment and development are crucial requirements for Nigeria’s continuous existence and economic sustainability stressed that the youth are the nation’s future leaders and key drivers of economic and social progress.
“Thus, investment made by the government on youth development through education, skills training, and empowerment initiatives is critical for Nigeria to achieve its developmental goals and sustainable plans” Oyiborume stated.
Oyiborume who emphasized that youth are the backbone that drives economic growth and productivity in any nation maintained that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has kept to his campaign promises in youth development as he also noted that youth empowerment and development is a noble initiative of any administration that prioritizes the growth, progress and prosperity of her nation.
He further described President Bola Tinubu as a promise keeper who has made Nigerian youth proud with his major youth development reforms.
“During the campaigns before the 2023 general elections, youth development and inclusion form the core of President Tinubu’s “Renewed Hope Agenda”, and President Tinubu has matched words with actions in this regard” he emphasized.
He noted that President Bola Tinubu has done well in his administration by appointing a vibrant, competent, and capable youth as the Minister of Youth Development and thereafter implementing reforms that are impacting youths in Nigeria in an unprecedented way.
He also used the occasion to declare his intention to be the next All Progressive Congress, National Secretary at the party’s next convention.
“First of all, we commend President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing a youth as a performing Minister who knows the pains of the Nigerian youth and has done well to address a lot of the challenges faced by youths in the country”
“Secondly, I salute Mr. President’s commendable efforts in prioritizing youth development policies and issues. The introduction of the Student Loan Initiative (NELFUND), the establishment of the Nigerian Consumer Credit Corporation, and the recent launch of the Nigeria Youth Investment Fund are critical steps in the renewed hope agenda for youth development in Nigeria”
“These initiatives which are fully on course will go a long way in addressing the pressing challenges faced by our young population. I also want to reaffirm that the party, APC plays a key role in Mr President’s radical initiatives of youth inclusion and development, and it is high time a youth be made the National secretary of our great party” Oyiborume stressed.
“I am interested in functioning in that capacity if elected in the upcoming convention of the party to drive Mr. President’s policies effectively,” Oyiborume added.
On his part, the Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, described Oyiborume as one progressive youth who has played an enormous role in the build-up of the All Progressive Congress especially within the youth extraction of the party.
“My joy is to see young people with capacity like Oyiborume Paul appointed and elected into key leadership positions with the party and government,” Olawande added.
