The Oyo State Police Command has confirmed the interception of items suspected to be explosive materials in Saki, in the Oke Ogun axis of the state.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Olayinka Ayanlade, the items were recovered during a stop-and-search operation by police operatives acting on actionable intelligence.
The truck conveying the suspected materials was immediately secured, while the driver was arrested for further investigation.
The police assured residents that the situation is under control and that necessary steps have been taken to prevent any security breach.
