The National Chairman of the Pan Niger Delta Forum, PANDEF, Ambassador Dr. Godknows Boladei Igali, has congratulated former President Goodluck Jonathan and former Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Obong Victor Attah, as they mark their milestone birthdays.
In a goodwill message on behalf of the people of the South-South geopolitical zone, Ambassador Igali praised Dr. Jonathan, who turns 68, and Obong Attah, who turns 87, describing them as “fathers of the nation whose lives and leadership have left indelible marks on Nigeria’s development.
He thanked God for preserving their lives and for blessing the nation with leaders whose contributions span academia, architecture, politics and public service.
Ambassador Igali noted that both leaders continue to inspire generations through their commitment to democracy, nation-building and the pursuit of excellence.
He highlighted their significant roles in advancing the rights and interests of the Niger Delta region, including the push for fiscal federalism and the implementation of the 13 percent derivation principle, as well as efforts toward environmental remediation.
The PANDEF Chairman prayed for God’s continued guidance, good health and long life for the celebrants, quoting Psalm 91:16, which promises satisfaction with long life and divine salvation.
Ambassador Igali concluded by wishing Dr. Jonathan and Obong Attah joyful celebrations and God’s abundant blessings.
