The Youth Wing of the Pan Niger Delta Forum, PANDEF, has called on the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, to apologize to the South South leaders for attacking them on live television.
Wike had during a live telecast recently cast aspersions on the leadership of PANDEF over their recent visit to President Bola Tinubu at the State House.
The National Youth Leader of PANDEF, Don Ben Donyegha, made the call while briefing newsmen in Abuja.
He said the outburst of the FCT Minister was building tension in the entire South South geopolitical zone of the country.
“We demand an immediate retraction and apology from those who have disrespected this generation. A certain leader has made offensive remarks and insulted those who supported him in the past. We insist that within 48 hours, he must issue a public apology” he stated
Donyegha also called on President Bola Tinubu to remove the Minister from his cabinet saying failure to do so will affect his re election bid in 2027.

“He disrespected traditional rulers from Rivers State and beyond, insulting them at a public gathering”
“Our leaders recently visited the President to promote peace in the region, particularly between the Governor of Rivers State and the FCT Minister
“The delegation that visited the President included paramount rulers, former governors, senators, and distinguished personalities. For him to dismiss them as mere opportunists is a gross insult” he stressed.
“However, instead of supporting this effort, the FCT Minister disparaged our elders, falsely claiming they were seeking financial gain.
“Most appallingly, he insulted our revered leader, the late Papa Edwin Clark, despite once kneeling before him to seek his blessing for his gubernatorial ambition.
“As Niger Delta youths, we will not tolerate this insult to our leaders. His claims that the region is powerless and baseless.
