Governors of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP have called on Nigerians not to be despair in view of the prevailing economic and security challenges facing the country.
The governors made the call at a meeting in Asaba, the Delta State Capital.
In a seven-point resolution, the Governors expressed optimism that the party would work hard to be in control of the federal government in subsequent election so as to return the country to the era of good old days.
Addressing newsmen at the end of their meeting held behind closed door, chairman of the PDP Governors Forum and Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed, gave an assurance that efforts were being intensified to resolve the internal crises in the party .

While commending the efforts of the Party National Working Committee in resolving the internal crises in the party especially as it bothers on the position of the party’s national secretary, the forum reaffirmed its support for the subsisting court judgement on the matter” Bala added.
“The Forum consequently urged the NWC to set up mechanism for the effective implementation of the Appeal Court judgement” he emphasized.
“The Forum having examined all the notices required by law to be given to validly convoke NEC advised NWC to reschedule NEC to the thirteenth (13Th) of March 2025.”
Bala Mohammed along side other eleven PDP Governors called on President Bola Tinubu to review its administration’s macro economic policies with a view to ameliorating the prevailing hardships in the country.
According to the Chairman of the PDP Governors Forum, the meeting which is the first in the new year, provided opportunity for them to access the state of the nation, the performances of PDP controlled states in terms of infrastructure, economic and security challenges as well as the development in PDP .
He said the meeting noted with delight the steps being taken by the Governors of PDP controlled states to alleviate the plights of the people as well as to create the foundation for sustainable development of the various states
The PDP Governors Forum which expressed concern with what it described as the resurgence of the non state actors in parts of the country, called for strengthening of the nation’s security architecture to ensure the safety of lives and property.
“While commending the country’s gallant and patriotic armed forces and other security agencies for maintaining the frontline in securing the country”
“The forum viewed with deep concern the gains of our gallant security personnel over bandits in parts of the country, resurgence of non state actors, and called for the strengthening of the nation’s security architecture,” Mohammed noted.
