The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has won all chairmanship and councillorship positions across the 30 local government areas of Osun State.
This was announced by the Chairman of the Osun State Independent Electoral Commission (OSIEC), Hashim Abioye, during a press briefing on Saturday in Osogbo, the state capital.
The election which recorded low turnout held amid controversies arising court judgements.
Recall that the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Lateef Fagbemi, SAN, had advised the state Governor, Ademola Adeleke, to halt the LG election, citing legal implications.
The Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, on the eve of the election also advised that it should be postponed.
