The Wife of the Abia State Governor, Mrs. Priscilla Otti has donated over six million naira and other items to some Orphanages and Destitute homes in Aba and Umuahia to improve the welfare of the homes.
Presenting the cheques and items in Umuahia, the wife of the Abia State Governor, Mrs. Priscilla Otti explained that the gesture was part of her ongoing efforts to support vulnerable communities.
Mrs Otti who was represented by the wife of the Deputy Governor, Mrs Adaeze Emetu extended her
benevolence to caregivers in each of the facilities and noted that the measure was to appreciate their dedication and hard work.
Receiving the cash gifts and other items, the Leaders of the benefitting homes, Reverend Sister Maria Anita Ogbonna of Ahiaeke Motherless Babies Home and Madam Oyibo Okonkwo of Agape Charity Home all applauded Governor Alex Otti and his wife for their compassion and focus on the welfare of destitute homes.
