Some major Opposition politicians in the country have applied to the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC to register a new political party.
The Documents showed that the proposed party named All Democrats Alliance, ADA has already designed its logo of red, green and blue with a maize sprouting out of the green side.
Minutes of the organization’s meeting under the aegis of the New Platform Committee were signed by a former minister of Transportation, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi as Chairman and Dr. Umar Ardo as Secretary.
According to the minutes, notable personalities including former Senate President, David Mark met in Abuja and picked Chief Akin Ricketts as protem National chairman and Abdullahi Musa Elayo as Protem National Secretary for the new platform.
The group also made available, an application letter for party registration to INEC signed by the protem leaders.
The minutes says a group named as National Opposition Coalition Group, NOCG made up of critical and reputable national political figures chaired by former Senate President David Mark, met in Abuja to set up the New Platform Committee consisting of 15 members and mandated it to form an association for the purpose of applying INEC with a view to registering a new political party.
Other decisions reached bothered on manifesto, constitution, Office accommodation, facilitation of the registration by INEC, opening of a Bank Account for the proposed party.
