Zamfara State government has distributed vehicles and various working tools to improve sanitation and healthier environment in the state.
Governor, Dr Dauda Lawal at the distribution in Gusau stressed that the essence was to promote a clean and healthy environment attracts investments, boosts tourism, and promotes the overall well-being of the people of the State.

He expressed commitment to environmental sustainability and policies by encouraging green practices in the State.
Dr Lawal explained that the distribution was a broader framework of the Keeping Zamfara Clean Initiative, which includes ten dumping trucks, four sweeping machines, two sweeping trucks and sixty five motorcycles.
He pointed out that, the launching was designed to empower vibrant and energetic youths by engaging them in meaningful activities to improve sanitation across the state.
“This initiative goes beyond enhancing sanitation; it provides employment opportunities and cultivates entrepreneurial skills. We hope that by participating in these activities, our young people will gain valuable experience and a sense of responsibility towards their communities.
“It is evident that as we build critical infrastructure across the state, proper sanitation is essential for their longevity and proper functioning.
Dr Dauda Lawal who emphasized that Clean streets, markets and public spaces reflect the values of a progressive society further urged all stakeholders, including community leaders, traditional rulers, and all people to support the initiative by embracing the culture of cleanliness.
