The Kano State House of Assembly KNHA has passed an executive bill tagged Kano State Centre for Disease Control Bill 2023.
This was sequel to the 3rd reading and deliberations in the committee of the whole during the plenary presided over by the speaker Alhaji Jibril Isma’il Falgore.
The executive bill titled Recomittal of Kano State Center for Disease Control Bill 2023 Executive Bill EB No. 5 scaled 1st and second reading last year after transmission from the executive.
Similarly, the house has adopted a report on the screening and confirmation of the chairperson and members of the Kano State Civil Service Commission.
Presenting the report, the chairman of the House committee on public service Alhaji Abubakar Abdullahi Isah, explained that the three nominees Hajiya Ladidi Garko, Abdullahi Muhammad Umar and Ado Ahmad Muhammad have been carefully scrutinized.
Abubakar maintained that, the committee has screened the three nominees for the position of chairperson, permanent member one and two of the Kano civil service commission and recommend their appointment as they have met all criteria.
After careful deliberations the house unanimously adopted the report and recommended the appointment of the three persons as chairperson and members of the Kano civil service commission.
In a another development, the Kano state signage and advertisement establishment bill 2025, Kano state physical planning and development control bill 2025 and Kano state water users association WUAN bill 2025 scaled 1st reading.
The bills were read by the deputy clerk Alhaji Nasiru Magaji.
The house adjourned it’s sitting to Monday 27th January 2025.
