The Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Kebbi State Council has elected new executives to man the activities of the union for the next three years.
Bello Sarki Abubakar from Kebbi Television chapel elected as the Chairman while Ismail Adebayo of the Correspondents chapel to serve as the secretary of the union.
Others are Abubakar Mohammed Dakingari and Junaidu Sani of Radio Nigeria Equity FM elected as the Treasurer and Financial Secretary respectively.
Speaking shortly after the swearing in, the new Council Chairman, Bello Sarki Abubakar, assured to revive the lost glory of union in the state.
He said, the administration would operate an open door policy and as well wellcome advises to ensure the success of his tenure.
The new chairman, promised improvement of the welfare of the members and also training and retraining of Journalists in the state.
The Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Nasir Idris, who was represented by the State Commissioner for information and culture, Yakubu Ahmed assured government continue support to the new executives and urged them to be fair and just to all members.
