President Bola Tinubu has directed all ministers to present their performance reports to Nigerians in a ministerial briefing scheduled to run for three months.
The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, made this known at a news briefing in Abuja.
He stated that the exercise would allow Nigerians to assess and interrogate government policies and programmes.
According to Idris, the directive aligns with Tinubu’s mandate that ministers periodically account for their activities and achievements.
“Over the next three months, as we approach the second anniversary of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, we will bring Honourable Ministers to this platform on a weekly basis,” he said.
He added that the briefing would focus on government activities from January 2025 to date, emphasising that the year is one of consolidation and progress.
“This year, 2025, is a year of consolidation—a year for building on the gains recorded in the first 19 months of this administration,” Idris stated.
