President Bola Tinubu has described Plateau State as a “miniature Nigeria” with vast potential that should be harnessed for national development.
He made the remark at a grand reception in Jos, welcoming Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang into the All Progressives Congress, APC, and the Progressives Governors Forum.

Represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima, President Tinubu advised the governor to ensure a level playing field for all under his leadership.
Governor Mutfwang, in his remarks, pledged commitment to the development of Plateau State and expressed full support for President Tinubu’s administration, noting that Plateau will be a key centre of political decision-making ahead of the 2027 elections.
The APC National Chairman, Professor Nantawe, and other party leaders, including Senate President Godswill Akpabio, congratulated Governor Mutfwang, assuring him of full support in his new political alignment.

The ceremony concluded with the presentation of the APC party flag to the governor.
