The Renewed Hope Grassroots Movement has formally endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term, citing ongoing structural reforms and policy initiatives aimed at repositioning Nigeria for sustainable growth.
Addressing a World Press Conference, the National Coordinator of the Movement, Ambassador Isaac Chigozie Udeh, described the event as a milestone in the group’s nationwide mobilization efforts ahead of the 2027 general elections.

He said the Movement was established to mobilize grassroots support for President Tinubu, promote civic responsibility, and ensure that information about government policies reaches rural and underserved communities.
Ambassador Udeh highlighted key reforms since May 29, 2023, including the removal of fuel subsidy and the unification of the foreign exchange system, which aimed to restore fiscal discipline and rebuild investor confidence.
He noted that these reforms, though challenging in the short term, have contributed to macroeconomic stability, reduced fiscal pressures, and strengthened foreign exchange reserves.
On fiscal management, the Movement pointed to the reduction of debt service obligations and the successful repayment of Nigeria’s $4.61 billion IMF debt, enhancing the country’s global financial credibility.
The Movement also cited youth-focused initiatives such as skills development programs, enterprise support for micro, small and medium enterprises, and empowerment initiatives to stimulate job creation.
In education, Ambassador Udeh referenced the Nigerian Education Loan Fund, expanded scholarship programs, and school feeding initiatives to strengthen human capital development.

He further highlighted the approval of a new national minimum wage, expanded nano-grant schemes, and livelihood support programs to cushion vulnerable populations.
On infrastructure and agriculture, he emphasized major road projects, improved port operations, agricultural mechanization, and the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway as strategic investments for connectivity, trade, and food security.
Ambassador Udeh described the administration’s tax reform as simplifying the tax system, widening the tax base, and creating a business-friendly environment without overburdening small businesses.
He also acknowledged ongoing efforts in anti-corruption, national security, and diplomacy, noting renewed investor interest across key sectors including energy, ICT, agriculture, and transportation.
Following consultations, the Movement declared full support for President Tinubu’s re-election and the victory of the APC, pledging continued grassroots mobilization and civic engagement.
The National Youth Leader, Dr. Uko Udo Nna, reiterated the youth wing’s commitment to the President, highlighting the Movement’s growth into one of the largest presidential support groups in Nigeria and Africa.
Dr. Nna assured that the youth wing remains focused, united, and committed to supporting government policies that promote national development, economic recovery, and inclusive growth.

Deputy National Women Leader, Fatima Yahaya Emilugi, lauded the administration for youth empowerment and inclusive governance, including postgraduate support initiatives, youth entrepreneurship schemes, and support for small-scale enterprises.
She highlighted tax relief measures for small businesses and low-income earners as key enablers for growth, innovation, and sustainability, and reaffirmed the women and youth wing’s commitment to active grassroots mobilization.
Ms. Emilugi formally passed a vote of confidence on President Tinubu, assuring that young Nigerians will remain engaged in registration drives, civic participation, and nationwide mobilization leading to a decisive 2027 electoral victory.
