Sokoto state government says its has provided easy access and cost effective investment modalities that could encourage foreign and internal investors into the state.
Governor Ahmed Aliyu stated this at the commissioning of Solar boreholes and distribution of Uniforms to five primary schools in Wamako LGA provided by BUA Cement.
Represented by Commissioner for water resource Alh. Aminu Dodo Iya, the governor said the present Sokoto state government is encouraging all investors that have direct bearing to the Socio-economic development of the state.
He said the contribution of BUA in the state health and Education sectors as well as infrastructural development are some of the benefits of investment in the state.

The governor noted that as part of its social responsibilities, the company is expanding huge resources in developing its host communities in Wamako LGA
He said the gesture marked a significant milestone in a collective effort to fostering sustainable development and improved the quality of life of people in the state
In his speech, the Managing Director of the cement company, Alh. Yusuf Binji said giving back to its host communities is of paramount importance in a bid to adding value to the communities socio- security and economic development of the people in the area.
The MD, represented by Assistance Director Administration and Corporate Services of the company, Mr. Sada Suleiman, said the seven solar-powered boreholes and over 4200 uniform sets for students of five primary schools worth over three hundred and forty three million.
He noted that the gesture was part of the company’s efforts to complementing government’s commitments towards providing portable drinking water and effective educational development in the state.
Binji appreciated Sokoto State Governor, Ahmed Aliyu, for his support and advice to BUA Cement towards enhancing educational development at the primary level and other living standards.
The Managing Director also said the company donated 150 tonnes of cement for repair of communal facilities like cemeteries, mosques and drainages
In his remarks, the Chairman, Wamakko local government area, Umar Dundaye assured that the communities would utilise the facilities and uniforms provided by the company for the benefit of people in the area.
