Professor Charles Soludo has been inaugurated for a second term as Governor of Anambra State, with a renewed focus on policy continuity and development reforms.
The swearing-in ceremony, held at Alex Ekwueme Square, saw the governor take the oath of office alongside his deputy, Dr. Onyeka Ibezim, before a gathering of top political leaders and stakeholders.
Among dignitaries present were Vice President Kashim Shettima, former Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan, as well as former Commonwealth Secretary-General Emeka Anyaoku.
Soludo’s re-election followed a decisive victory in the November 2025 governorship poll, as confirmed by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
He secured a wide margin over his closest rivals, reinforcing public confidence in his first-term reforms.
From a policy perspective, the second term is expected to consolidate ongoing initiatives in economic transformation, infrastructure development, and governance reforms.
Observers note that continuity in fiscal discipline, digital economy expansion, and security management will be central to delivering long-term growth in the state.
The administration is also anticipated to deepen institutional reforms and strengthen service delivery, as Anambra positions itself as a competitive subnational economy.
