Tinubu is expected to hold a crucial meeting with the leader of the Kwankwasiyya Movement, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, as part of ongoing political consultations ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The anticipated meeting comes barely a day after the President held a closed-door discussion with Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, at the Presidential Villa.
Sources say the engagement was facilitated by Governor Yusuf, following President Tinubu’s desire to harmonise key political interests across party lines.
A senior APC leader from the North-West confirmed that the meeting with Senator Kwankwaso is tentatively scheduled for later today, subject to adjustments in the President’s itinerary.
The development has intensified speculation over possible political realignments in Kano State and the future direction of the Kwankwasiyya movement.
