President Bola Ahmed Tinubu yesterday met separately with the Governors of Oyo and Plateau States at the State House, Abuja.
Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, was the first to arrive at the Presidential Villa for his meeting with the President.
Later, Plateau State Governor, Caleb Muftwang, also met with President Tinubu in a separate engagement.
Details of the meetings were not disclosed as at the time of filing this report.
However, political observers view the meetings as part of ongoing consultations and strategic realignments ahead of the next general elections.
It would be recalled that Governor Muftwang is reported to have defected to the All Progressives Congress, while Governor Makinde, of the Peoples Democratic Party, is considered a presidential hopeful.
