President Bola Tinubu expressed sadness over the passing of Shaikh Modibbo Ibrahim Daware, a renown Islamic scholar from Adamawa State.
This is contained in a statement signed by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, in Abuja.
The statement says Shaikh Daware was a respected leader of the Tijjaniyya sect and spent his lifetime imparting knowledge, guiding, and shaping the minds of many individuals.
According to the statement, President Tinubu extols Sheikh Daware’s humility, piety, and devotion to scholarship, describing his passing as a painful loss not only for his family and community but also for the nation.
The statement says the President extends his condolences to the Adamawa State Government, the late cleric’s family, and his followers.
It prays God to grant him peace and mercy in the hereafter, noting that Shaikh Daware’s legacy will continue to inspire mankind, and be a reminder of the impact of faith, knowledge, and selfless service to humanity.
