Two female suspects, Uzoma Nwabueze and Precious, have been arrested by operatives of the Anambra State Police Command in connection with the disappearance of a 16-year-old girl, Miss Oluebube Chukwuma, from Ozubulu in Ekwusigo Local Government Area.
According to Police Public Relations Officer Tochukwu Ikenga, the suspects confessed during interrogation to being involved in the girl’s disappearance and revealed that she is currently in Ghana.
Following this revelation, the Commissioner of Police, Ikioye Orutugu, has ordered the immediate transfer of the suspects to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Awka for further investigation.
The investigation aims to determine the circumstances surrounding the girl’s relocation and identify any additional individuals involved in the case.
