The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Dr Nyesom Wike, has appealed to workers of the FCTA to reconsider their actions and allow peace to prevail, stressing that his administration remains open to dialogue.
Speaking during an engagement with stakeholders, Wike warned against intimidation and the politicisation of labour issues, noting that while dialogue is preferred, the government will not tolerate attempts to derail the administration.
He highlighted reforms introduced under his leadership, which corrected longstanding structural challenges, and noted that the FCT’s Internally Generated Revenue has grown from nine billion to about thirty billion naira monthly.

The minister urged staff sabotaging government efforts to desist, reminding workers that government often addresses demands in phases due to resource constraints.
Wike stressed the importance of focus, continuity, and cooperation in governance, calling on all parties to work together for the development of the FCT and the nation.
