The New Permanent Secretary, Faruk Yusuf Yabo has assumed Office at the Ministry of Solid Minerals Development.
This is contained in a statement signed by the Deputy Director Press and Public Relations Department, Kania Maliki Andeyaba in Abuja
The statement says the new Permanent Secretary calls for the support and cooperation of the staff and management of the Ministry while promising to build on the solid foundation built by his predecessor.

“Dr Ogbe had always come first in many things over the past years, I will like to urge you to cooperate and support me just as you did with my colleague” Yabo states.
“This sector is one that can make the difference to the Nigeria economy and i count on you to make this work.” The new Permanent Secretary notes.
According to the statement, the out going Permanent Secretary, Dr. Mary Ogbe who notes that she had enjoyed a good working relationship with everyone in the ministry urged staff to accord the new Perm Sec the same cooperation accorded her.

The statement says the outgoing Permanent Secretary asked for forgiveness from anyone she might have stepped on, noting that it was purely done in the course of service to the nation.
It adds that the Director General of the mining Cadastral office, Obadiah Nkom who stressed that the redeployment is the beginning of the best of her service also assured the incoming Permanent Secretary all the needed support.
According to the statement
top management and staff of the Ministry welcomed the new Perm Sec while they bade the outgoing Permanent Secretary farewell and best of luck in her new ministry.
