The Yobe State House of Assembly has passed for third reading a bill to amend the Yobe State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency (YOCHMA) Law 2025.

Speaker of the House, Chiroma Mashio, stated that the Assembly’s is collaborating with the executive arm to enhance healthcare services.
He expressed optimism that the amended law will lead to improved health outcomes for all residents.
Mashio maintained that the amendment, which is expected to strengthen the agency’s operations and ensure better access to quality and affordable healthcare services, would further improve YOCHMA’s framework.
