Governor Monday Okpebholo has signed into law a reversed appropriation bill of four hundred and forty six billion Naira to ensure that the new administration hits the ground running.
The reversed appropriation bill was passed by the Edo State House of Assembly (EDHA) and speaker of the House Blessing Agbebaku led other law makers to the Exco chamber where the governor accented to the bill.
The total reversed budget is four hundred and eighty five billion naria and the breakdown shows that over two hundred billion naria is for recurrent expenditures and over two hundred and eighty two billion naria for capital expenditure
The Governor thanked the law makers for their cooperation and speedy passage of the bill which he said would ensure that his administration delivers dividends of democracy to the people of Edo State.
Earlier, the speaker Mr Blessing Agbebaku said the lawmakers of the 8th Assembly speedily passed the appropriation bill as they want the new administration to hit the ground running.
He noted that since government was a continuum the bill was given accelerated hearing to enable the administration carry on with government businesses.
