Muslims have been encouraged to invest part of their wealth in endowments, to promote societal development and progress.
This call was made by Director of Al furqan charitable organization, Kano, Dr Abubakar Muhammad during sensitization workshop in jos, Plateau State.
Dr Abubakar emphasized that societies need individuals who can invest part of their wealth in valuable project which has direct impact on society.
He also urged philanthropist to engage their children in endowment activities, ensuring the continuation of their legacy.
He also stressed the need for more endowment, as it has helped in the transformation of several societies especially in less develop societies.
The Director of Mahanga research centre and chief Imam of Sultan Bello, Dr Muhammad Suleiman Adam, explained that several endowment had impacted positively in transforming the life’s of orphans, less privilege in catering for their education and health need.
He called for more sensitization among Nigerian towards understanding the impact endowment has on societal development and progress.
“In Islam, wealth is considered a trust from Allah, and individuals are encouraged to use it wisely and charitably.¹ Investing in endorsements or endowments is seen as a way to promote societal development and progress, while also earning rewards in the afterlife” he added.
