Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has attributed the current peace been experience in Kano state to the strong dedicated police team led by Commissioner Salman Dogo Garba.
The governor made this known he hosted the Wife of the Inspector General of Police, Mrs. Elizabeth Ebetakun in his office in Kano.
Governor Yusuf commended the police team for their hard work in protecting lives and properties, stating that Kano has never been more peaceful.
He also commended Mrs. Ebetakun for her charitable work, particularly in supporting widows, children, and the less privileged.
The governor assured that his administration would continue to provide logistical support to the police to ensure they have everything needed to discharge their duties effectively.
He also promised to provide land and financial assistance to the Police Officers’ Wives Association to build a secretariat in Kano.
Mrs. Ebetakun, who is also the President of the Police Officers’ Wives Association, expressed her appreciation for the governor’s support and commended him for his welfare programs and efforts to sustain cultural values.
She explained that the association aims to ensure the safety of police women and promote the dividend of democracy to their members.
She added that the visit highlighted the collaborative efforts between the Kano State government and the police to maintain peace and security in the state.
