The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps NSCDC has identified regular training for security personnels as critical strategy for addressing emerging security challenges in the country.
The NSCDC, FCT Commandant, Dr. Olusola Odumosu made this known at the passing out parade of the batch B basic arms training for one hundred and thirty seven personnel of NSCDC, FCT Command in Abuja.
Dr. Odumosu stated that the operational success of the command had significantly improved following the deployment of officers trained in the Batch A program.

He expressed confidence that the deployment of the newly trained Batch B officers would further enhance the command’s capacity to address security issues effectively.
While reaffirming the commitment of the NSCDC FCT Command to tackling the evolving security challenges within the Federal Capital Territory, Dr. Odumosu urged the newly trained officers to apply their expertise in weaponh handling to eliminate criminal activities in the territory.
The NSCDC FCT Commandant emphasized that the newly trained personnel must be professional in their duties as the NSCDC will not tolerate any form of indiscipline or incidents of accidental discharge.
