The Federal Government has set up a situation room to monitor the progress of its transportation subsidy for the festive season.
Minister of Transportation, Senator Saiid Alkali made this known in Abuja while giving an update on the situation of the 2024 Yuletide Transportation Palliative.
Senator Alkali said the situation room domiciled in the office of the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry would be operated for twenty four hours.
According to the Minister, over two thousand Nigerians have so far benefitting from the free train service which commenced last Friday while the road transport has just commenced on the this Tuesday and would last till the 5th of next month.
On the issue of the delay in the commencement of the road transportation, Senator Alkali explained that the Ministry had to consult with various stakeholders in the transportation sector.
