One hundred and seventeen newly promoted Senior Police Officers in Nasarawa State have been charged to redouble their commitment and loyalty to the force towards ensuring a safe and peaceful society.
The State Commissioner of Police CP Shettima Mohammad stated this at the decoration of the officers in Lafia, the state capital.
According to him, promoting the officers of the state police command will spur them to put more efforts in combating crimes and criminality across the state.
Mohammad charged them to see their promotion as added responsibilities to their shoulders.
CP Mohammad who thanked the Inspector General of police, Kayode Agbetekum for recommending the officers of the command for elevation to new ranks stated that, the command under his watch will not tolerate lackadaisical attitude.
He also pledged to accord priority to the welfare of personnel in the command to motivate them to do more.
Responding on behalf of the newly promoted officers, Chief Superintendent of Police, Mark Adakole expressed appreciation to the Inspector General of police and the police service commission for finding them worthy for the promotion.
While some of the newly promoted officers pledged to redouble their efforts in discharging their duties, their family members promised to support their spouses.
On his part, the State Police Public Relations Officer, Rahman Nansel was among the officers promoted to the rank of Superintendent of Police SP
