The federal government has reiterated its dedication to implementing policies that foster sustainable and inclusive economic empowerment through job creation and enhance living standards of Nigerians.
This assurance was given by the Director-General of the National Directorate of Employment, NDE, Mr. Silas Agara, during a New Year service at ECWA Goodnews Church in Akwanga, Nasarawa State.
Mr Agara expressed confidence that President Bola Tinubu’s economic reforms would soon deliver tangible benefits, particularly in the areas of agriculture, entrepreneurship, and skills development.
He urged citizens to trust the administration and work together to ensure the success of these initiatives, predicting that 2025 would mark the beginning of significant economic improvements for the nation.
He further highlighted the NDE’s commitment to leveraging the federal government’s skills development initiatives, emphasizing the agency’s focus on empowering women, youth, and persons with disabilities.
In his sermon, Reverend Monday Danjuma encouraged Nigerians to embrace trust, peaceful coexistence, and hard work as essential virtues for national transformation. He also called on leaders to prioritize good governance, transparency, and accountability, drawing inspiration from the diversity of the nation’s people.
Worshippers at the service stressed the importance of federal and state governments translating their promises into action by implementing short-term programmes that provide immediate relief and improve living standards.
As Nigeria embarks on another year, the collective hope remains that such initiatives will bring tangible progress to the lives of its citizens.
