The Federal Ministry of Health & Social Welfare has emerged the Overall Best Performing Ministry, Department, and Agency (MDA) in Nigeria, while receiving three other distinguished awards at the SERVICOM End-of-Year Award Ceremony.
A statement signed by the Deputy Director of Information and Public Relations, Alaba Balogun, in Abuja, says the four awards won by the Ministry include the Special Recognition Award, Most Innovative in Team A, Best Performing in Team A, and the Overall Best Performing MDA Award, which has the highest distinction.
According to the statement, the Coordinating Minister for Health and Social Welfare, Prof. Ali Pate, says the awards underline the Ministry’s unwavering commitment to excellence in service delivery.
“These awards are a testament that our collective efforts, strengthened systems, and early results are making a real difference.”
“These awards reflect the dedication of my colleagues—former Minister of State, Dr. Tunji Alausa (now Minister of Education), Hon. Iziaq Adekunle Salako, the Permanent Secretary, Directors, SERVICOM teams, Heads of Agencies and Hospitals, Regulatory Bodies, and all the hardworking staff within the Ministry.”
According to the statement Prof. Pate further dedicates the accolades to Nigerians and to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for creating an enabling environment to deliver impactful services.
It also states that these awards will challenge the Ministry to innovate further, deepen collaborations with stakeholders and ensure no Nigerian is left behind in the quest for improved healthcare services.
