Kaduna State Government has concluded plans to enroll an additional 350 thousand residents into the Contributory Health Care Scheme by the year 2025.
The Director General Kaduna State Contributory Health Management Authority, Mallam Abubakar Hassan stated this to newsmen in Kaduna .
Mallam Hassan explained that the Health Scheme has witnessed and accepted an influx of thousands of people this year due to its affordability and continues engagement with relevant stakeholders.
He therefore called on all residents that are yet to join to make their health a priority by enrolling into the scheme.
The Director General reiterated the State Government resolved to improving the health status of residents considering the recent budget allocation of over 16 percent to the health sector.
Mallam Hassan who stressed that the state has made it possible to reduce out of pocket spending by minimizing the cost to access appreciated philanthropist, corporate organization and well meaning Nigerians for thier support in ensuring that the scheme succeed.
‘The scheme is not all about people who work in government alone but all people in the state inrespective of where you work,both private and public
“The woman selling akara, the mechanic,the laundry man,the plower, carpenter,the tailor and all should all come and register with a yearly premium of just 10650 Naira only” he said.
Kaduna State Government through its Contributory Health Management Authority has line up activities to mark this year Universal Health Coverage Day from the 9th to 12th aimed at drawing attention to the need for participation in the scheme and it’s commitment for wider coverage.
Twelfth December is the annual rallying point for advocates to raise their voices and share the stories of the millions of people still waiting for health while calling on leaders to make smarter investments in health.
