Kwara State Government to partner electrical artisans to enhance professionalism.
The state Commissioner for Energy, AbdulAzeez AbdulGaniy, stated this during a meeting with electricians, manufacturers, electrical technicians and sellers of electrical products, in Ilorin.
According to him, The Kwara State Artisans Registration Law, enacted in 2010, mandates registration for informal sector workers to ensure effective service delivery and eradicate quackery.
AbdulGaniy stressed that registration and proper engagement of artisans is crucial for standardizing goods and services and ensure safety of Kwarans.
On his part, the State Chairman of the Kwara State Licensed Contractors Association (LECAN), Alhaji Yusuf Ahmed, pledged the Association’s readiness to adhering to government standard.
