Nasarawa State Agro Climatic Resilience and Semi Arid Landscapes has signed a contract of over nine billion naira to address storm water management in parts of the State.
The Nassarawa State Coordinator of Agro Climatic Resilience and Semi Arid Landscapes ACRESAL, Doctor Napoleon Elias Gyobe made this known shortly after signing the agreement in Lafia the state capital.
Doctor Gyobe said the contract agreement was signed with the two private companies to construct guly erosion sites in Toto,Doma and lafia Local Government Areas among other environmental challenges.
Doctor Gyobe lauded the effort of the present administration under governor Abdullahi Sule towards actualization of the world bank project in the state.

On his part, the Chairman, Steering Committee of ACRESAL, and permanent Secretary Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources, Alhaji Muhammad Garba Rosha maintained that, when completed the project will address flooding issues and ensure food security in the state.
Alhaji Rosha assured the contractors of the state governments resolve to ensure completion of the project.
Speaking on behalf of the private sector, Nizar Ibrehim promised to deliver quality work within time frame
The signing of the contract agreement was witnessed by the permanent Secretary Ministry of Agriculture among other top government functionaries.
