Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State has ordered a dawn-to-dusk curfew in Owo town till further notice following the cult clash and unrest in the ancient town .
This is contained in a statement signed by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Ebenezer Adeniyan, in Akure.
The statement orders all residents to remain indoors during the curfew except essential services, such as hospitals, emergency services and law enforcement which are exempted.
The statement also asks security agencies in the State to enforce the curfew, ensure safety of lives and property as well as arrest perpetrators of violence in the community.
