The House of Representatives has Received proposals for the creation of additional thirty one states across Nigeria.
The Deputy Speaker, Benjamin Kalu announced the proposals during the House Plenary, in Abuja.
Kalu who doubles as Chairman House of Representatives Committee on Constitution Review outlined constitutional requirements to be fulfilled before the approval of the proposal request.
According to the Deputy Speaker, the 10th National Assembly is committed to amending the nation’s constitution to meet the yearnings and aspirations of the citizens.
The requests for additional States creation cut across the Six Geopolitical zones of the country.
