Former Zamfara State Governor, Abdul’azeez Yari Abubakar has donated 23 million naira and 105 bags of food items to victims of the recent airstrike by the Nigerian Air Force in Maradun Local Government Area of the state.
A statement signed by the Chairman Publicity Committee for the former Governor political organization, Ibrahim Muhammad says the donation was made during a condolence visit to the Emir of Maradun Alhaji Garba Muhammad Tambari at his palace.
The statement calls on the families of the deceased and the injured victims to view the incident as a destiny that could not be averted.
It explains that under the relief package, each family of the deceased will receive one million naira and five bags of food, while injured survivors will receive five hundred thousand naira and two bags of food each.
“He prayed to Allah SWT to grant the souls of the 13 deceased Persons perfect peace in His Jannatil Firdausi, their families, Gidan Goga District and Maradun Emirate the fortitude to bear the loss and the 20 injured Persons quick recovery”
The statement assures residents of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s commitment to restoring peace and stability in Zamfara and the entire Northwest region.
According to the statement, Responding on behalf of the victims, the Emir of Maradun, Alhaji Garba Muhammad Tambari expresses gratitude to the Senator’s gesture, emphasising that, it will go a long way in cushioning the condition of the victims.
