Wife of the Governor of Kogi State, Hajiya Sefinat Ododo has distributed anti-natal kits, beverages and financial support to about two hundred expectant mothers and other patients at the state specialist hospital.
Presenting the items to the beneficiaries at the Hospital in Lokoja, Hajiya Sefinat Ododo said the gesture was part of her activities to mark the end of the year Twenty, Twenty Four.
The Governor’s Wife maintained that the token given was part of her commitment to help them overcome challenges of the the moment.
Hajia Ododo also advised women to respect their husband and be closer to their children in order to enjoy a happy home.
Earlier, the Chief Medical Director of the state Specialist Hospital, Lokoja, Professor, Idah Yahaya, appreciated the Governor’s Wife for the visit, stressimg that Governor Usman Ododo had done well by improving the lives of the people.
He stated that Kogi State Hospital was recognized as the most standard hospital in the the state.
While commending the Governor’s wife for her usual magnanimity, professor Isah noted that the gesture would go along way in steming the hardship the beneficiaries were going through.
Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries, Hauwa Abubakar, appreciated the wife of the governor for the donations and appealed for more of the gesture.
