Taraba State Governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas, has described women as the pillars of society, emphasizing their vital contributions to stability, growth, and progress.
In a statement to mark the 2026 International Women’s Day, Governor Kefas noted that the role of women is often underrated and that many are denied opportunities to fully realize their potential.
He highlighted that his administration has prioritized the welfare and inclusion of women, with more women occupying key government and elective positions than ever before in the state’s history.
Governor Kefas also reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring every girl child has access to quality and affordable education.
The Governor stressed that supporting women is essential for sustainable development and societal stability.
