She said the party reflects a strong commitment to structured, policy-driven governance.

Senator Dahiru-Binani dismissed speculations surrounding her recent political movements, stressing that her actions were guided by political realities and the interests of her support base.
“Politics is dynamic and often shaped by prevailing circumstances. I will never condemn where I came from, but my foremost priority remains the interest of my supporters,” she stated.
She added that her supporters had already begun mobilizing within the NDC before her official defection.
According to her, Adamawa State now ranks among those with the highest number of registered NDC members due to sustained grassroots engagement.
Senator Dahiru-Binani expressed appreciation to the party leadership for receiving her and her supporters, pledging to contribute to the party’s growth.
She emphasized fairness, equity, justice, transparency, and internal democracy as key to the party’s success.
Speaking at the event, the National Leader of the NDC, Seriake Dickson, called on women and youths to take ownership of the party.
“For too long, women are remembered only during campaigns and neglected after elections. That must change. This is your party—come and take ownership,” he said.
He also encouraged young people to seize the opportunity, describing the NDC as open and inclusive.
Dickson announced that Binani would lead the party’s structure in Adamawa State and invited politicians nationwide to join the NDC.
“Politics is a journey. If your current platform is no longer taking you to your destination, you have every right to move. The NDC is that better vehicle,” he added.

Earlier, the National Chairman, Moses Cleopas, reaffirmed that the party is built on ideology, unity, and inclusiveness, stating, “We practice politics of conviction, integrity, and service to the people.”
Also speaking, NDC National Women Leader, Dudu Manuga, described Binani’s entry as a milestone, saying, “No woman, no nation. No woman, no progress.
This is the party for Nigerian women,” while pledging support for female aspirants.
