IG Adamu in a letter of resignation submitted to APC in Lafia, Monday said his decision to resign his membership wasn’t taken lightly adding however, that the recent development within the party, particularly, the conduct of the governorship primary election process in Nasarawa State has made it difficult for me to continue my political activities under the platform of the party.
“I write to formarly notify you of my decision to resign my membership of the APC with immediate effect. This desicion was’nt taken lightly, however, recent development within the party, particularly, the conduct of the governorship primary election process in Nasarawa State has made it difficult for me to continue my political activities under the platform of the party.
“I strongly believe that internal democracy, fairness, transparency and equal opportunities for all aspirants are essential principles that must guide the affairs of any democratic political parties. Unfortunately, the events surrounding the primary elections doesn’t reflect these principles and that has led to loss of confidence in the party’s leadership and processes in the state”, IGP Adamu declared.
“After wide Consultations with my supporters, political associates and families, I have decided to withdraw my membership and pursue my political aspirations through another platform.
“I sincerely appreciate the opportunity given to me to serve and contribute to the growth of the party during my period of membership. I also want to thank members of the party at the ward level, local government level and state level for the Cooperation and relationship built during the period of my membership.
“Kindly accept this letter as my formal resignation from the party”, the letter reads
