National Leader of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, Senator Henry Dickson has described his late aide, DSP Zamani Tanko, as loyal and dedicated during his burial in Nasarawa State.
Paying tribute during the funeral service, in Nasarawa State, Dickson described the late Tanko as more than a security aide, saying he was a trusted brother and member of his family.
He recalled that Tanko was posted to him as a security officer when he became Governor of Bayelsa State in 2011 and earned the admiration of many through his loyalty, humility, professionalism and integrity.

According to Dickson, Tanko served with dedication throughout their years together and remained committed to duty until his death in a tragic road accident while still in active service.
“Tanko was a diligent officer and a good man who served with dedication, loyalty and humility till the very end,” Dickson stated.
He prayed God to grant the deceased eternal rest and comfort his family.
The NDC National Leader also appreciated the party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, members of the National Working Committee (NWC), stakeholders, friends and associates for standing with the family during the burial.
Speaking at the service, the part’s Presidential candidate, Peter Obi expressed condolences to the bereaved family and assured them of the party’s continued support, stressing that Tanko’s family remains part of the larger NDC family.

The funeral was attended by the wife of the party National Leader, Dr. Rachael Dickson, the party’s National Chairman, Moses Cleopas, National Secretary, Ikenna Enekweizu, National Organising Secretary, Usman Umar, members of the National Working Committee, party stakeholders, candidates, friends and associates.
