Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has congratulated women in the state and across Nigeria on the occasion of the 2026 International Women’s Day.
In a goodwill message from Awka, the Governor commended the resilience, ingenuity, and contributions of mothers, wives, and daughters to the development of Anambra State and the nation.
He highlighted this year’s theme, “Give to Gain,” describing it as a call to action that reframes support for women from charity to strategic investment in social and economic progress.
Governor Soludo noted that providing women with equal opportunities, access to resources, and participation in decision-making has a multiplier effect on economic growth, social stability, and sustainable development.
He emphasized that gains for women translate into benefits for families, communities, and the state as a whole.
The Governor affirmed his administration’s commitment to building an inclusive and prosperous society where women can thrive alongside men, secure in their dignity and opportunities.
