The Road Safety Officers Wives Association, ROSOWA, has called for greater collaboration with the National Council of Women Societies, NCWS, to address underage driving and promote road safety awareness across the country.
President of ROSOWA, Dr. Nafisat Mohammed, stated this during a courtesy visit to NCWS in Abuja,
Dr. Mohammed stressed the need for joint efforts in discouraging underage driving, enlightening the public on use of seat belt and child restraints violations as well as empowering women through skills acquisition.
“We recognize the dangers posed by underage driving and the need for continuous sensitization. This is a responsibility we must all take seriously,” Mohammed said.
She reiterated ROSOWA’s commitment to aligning with the Renewed Hope Initiative through NCWS and engaging in other developmental partnerships.
Responding, the President National Council for Women Society, NCWS, Princess Edna Azura described the partnership as a significant step toward enhancing road safety and advancing women empowerment.
